He has participated in several European Commission Research, development and Innvation Programs focused on: Maritime Safety and Search and Rescue at sea, development of European strategies to enhance maritime safety, Vessel traffic services and systems to support maritime surveillance and traffic separation schemes, multimodal transport information systems.

Francisco Rodero

Francisco Rodero has a degree in Informatics Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC-BarcelonaTech).  He joined Center for Innovation in Transport of CIMNE for first time in 2009 as Computer Sciences Senior Engineer and from 2014 he is the ITS manager. He has participated in projects mainly related with simulation and mobility models. Prior to his arrival at CENIT-CIMNE he worked during 7 years at the INDRA group mainly working in projects related with Satellite Navigation Systems and operations simulation for transport terminals. His areas of expertise include simulation and modeling, GIS platforms, database design and programming and scripting in several languages.  He has a Postgraduate Course in Smart Mobility: Intelligent Transport Systems at UPC School of Professional & Executive Development in Barcelona
