On April 16-19 INTERMODEL participated to Transport Research Arena TRA2018 in Vienna. The slogan for this year’s event was “A digital Era for Transport”, dealing with digitization, automation and decarbonatisation. Ville Hinkka from VTT presented there a paper on terminal planning and how relevant KPI’s are selected to evaluate operations. We analysed indicators required for terminal planning, and compared those to existing KPIs used to performance measurements in ports and terminals. As a result, we considered how important operational performance indicators are in relation to financial indicators. We encourage you to read more from poster.
